TRENTON, NEW JERSEY, June 13, 2013.
The Supreme Court of New Jersey granted the Petition for Certification filed by the Law Office of William Wright LLC in the recent case of Atalese v. U.S. Legal Services Group, L.P. The Supreme Court will decide whether or not an arbitration clause in the contract at issue in this case is sufficient to conclude that the Plaintiff, our client, waived her right to file a lawsuit.
In New Jersey, Petitions for Certification to the Supreme Court are denied in approximately 90 percent of cases, and are only granted for special reasons. The Law Office of William Wright LLC is extrememly proud to be part of the exclusive 10 percent of Petitions for Certification heard by our Supreme Court.
For reference, you can view the Appellate Division’s decision in Atalese v. U.S. Legal Services Group, L.P. that is the subject of the Petition for Certification. You can also track the status of this case and many others at the Supreme Court’s website.
