A recent article posted on the cycling blog Bike Rumor, reveals some startling facts about the safety of America’s streets for cyclists.  According to the article, the rate of bicycle accident fatalities in the United States is almost twenty (20) times that of the cycling friendly countries throughout Western Europe.

Thankfully, organizations like PeopleForBikes have been lobbying and raising money to bring safer and more extensive bicycle infrastructure to our streets.  All the users of our roads need to work together to make traveling safer, whether you are a bicyclist, pedestrian, driver, skateboarder or motorcyclist.
